Frontline Plus is lousy. And yes, you can give your dog a bath within 48 hours after any topical.

Are you giving anything for Heartworms? I have 9 dogs and have run the gammit on flea/tick and heartworm preventive.

I suggest either Iverhart Max (cheaper) or Heartgard Plus for heartworms. And Comfortis (tablet form) for fleas/ticks.

With 9 dogs I cannot even begin to have a flea infestation.

Also, there is a topical called Revolution that is for heartworms and fleas both. It is just about the same amount you would pay for seperate medications.

I stopped using Revolution because of the adverse reaction to the area where I applied it with most of my dogs.

The original mother is crying and looking for the newborns but when we tried 2 timss to get her close with her kiddnes she doesnt want them but she continues crying and looking for them. Doesnt she recognise her kittens because another cat is breastfeeding them? What can we do to bring mother and kittens together again?

Do these two moms live in the same house? If so, and if they were “friends” before this, maybe you could put the kittens into a LARGE box, lined with towels, and let BOTH moms take care of them.

This is what my cats did, when more than one had kittens at the same time. They SHARED the care and feeding of all of the kittens.

Otherwise, you could TRY to rub something all over your “crying mom”, to get her scent on it, then wipe down the kittens with a damp cloth to remove the “other” cat’s scent…….THEN, wipe the kittens down with THEIR REAL mom’s scent. Hopefully, this would work.

If neither of these things work, take the “crying mom” to the vet to be spayed, BEFORE she’s goes out looking to HAVE MORE kittens.

How much does a tracheal wash for a cat cost?

We had a chest X-Ray of the cat and blood work done. Originally they thought she has Asthma, but there is more a sign of some infection. I think the Vet recommended something like this or another procedure which she said would cost $900-$1300 and which would allow them to culture to find out what the problem really was. The cat has stopped coughing with steroids and some parasite prescription but her lungs still making gurgging noise and there is no conclusive diagnosis.
I got this wrong. The vet wants to do a Bronchoscopy

Best advice I could give would be with a procedure as expensive as that, get a second opinion. Make sure that’s what your cat needs and that the vet is not just trying to suck money out of you.

I did some searching and found a yahoo answer from a year ago. Someone had the same question, and the person the best answer went to said she was quoted at $194-$234 from the human society. Granted prices will vary from place to place but but 234 to 1300 is a pretty big jump. :/
